A trivet is a heat resistant stand or mat used to protect surfaces like tables and countertops from hot pots, pans, and dishes. Trivets are designed to prevent heat damage and provide a stable surface for serving hot items. Ours are made from Walnut and Maple and slatted to provide added heat distribution. Place they look much better. :)
